Katherine A. Frizzell, M.D.

A native of Macon, Georgia and a graduate of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia and Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. Dr. Frizzell completed her residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.

She is board-eligible for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obsetetricians and Gynecologists and the American Medical Association and the Medical Association of Georgia.

C. Anne Patterson-Barnette MD

Maternal Fetal Medicine

Dr. Patterson received her MD degree from Emory University. She continued on with Emory to complete her OB/GYN residency and her fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine there. She is influential in her specialty serving on the Board of the OB/GYN Society for Georgia and is active as an advisor in the medical community on various hospital committees and managed care and hospital boards. She worked in private practice for 20 years at Northside Hospital. She is currently pursuing interests in expanding MFM services throughout rural Georgia via telemedicine.

Christy Roach [ email ]
Christy is a long time resident of Habersham County, and is married with two children. She and her family reside in Cornelia and they enjoy attending Raider football games and traveling to the beach. Christy began employment with Dr. Hatchett as a medical assistant in August, 1993. She has held many positions within the practice. Since December, 2000, Christy has held the position of Office Manager.

Jessica Cook
Jessica has been performing ultrasound for 5 years accredited by ARDMS in OB/GYN, abdomen/small parts, breast, and by the AIUM. She performs ultrasounds diagnostic and 3D/4D, and acquires accreditation and pre-certification for ultrasound procedure required by insurance companies. Jessica lives in McDonough, GA and is married to Michael. They have a daughter Alexie, a son Issaac and a boxer named Daisy.

Cheryl Green
Cheryl Green earned a degree in Physical Therapy from Maria College in Albany, NY after obtaining her Massage Therapy License from The Florida Institute of Massage Therapy in Sunrise, FL. She is certified in Incontinence Therapy after completing the Beyond Kegels 1: Bladder Health and The Pelvic Muscle Force Field and Beyond Kegels 2: Advanced Techniques and Special Populations courses in Philadelphia, PA. She resides in Clarkesville, GA with her husband and two children.

Karen Thomas
Karen is a Lamaze CERTIFIED Lactation Consultant and childbirth educator. She has worked with Habersham OB/GYN since the beginning of 2007, but has been teaching childbirth education for 10 years and loving it! Her husband of 18 years and their three wonderful girls, ages 14, 11, and 6 really love being an active part of this community and are grateful for it's hometown family attitude.

Amy Owens, Medical Assistant
Amy is a medical assistant at Habersham OB/GYN. She has been employed with the practice for 9 years. She is a resident of Rabun County, where she lives with her husband and their 5 children. Outside of the office, you can find her spending time with her family.

Leigh Pollitt, Medical Assistant
Leigh is a Medical Assistant at Habersham OB/Gyn. She lives in Hollywood with her husband and 3 children (ages 12,11,8). She enjoys spending time with her husband and children doing outdoor activities. She has been a Medical Assistant at the practice for 6 years.

Mandy Wade, Medical Assistant
Mandy has been a Medical Assistant with Habersham OB/GYN for 10yrs. She is married and has a 8 year old son. She enjoys outside activities and reality television. Mandy is a member of The Torch in Cornelia.

Christy has worked in medical insurance/billing/collections for 19 years. She lives in Cleveland and has 3 children.

Heather Alarcon,
Billing/Payment Arrangements/Translator
Heather has been working at Habersham OB/GYN since March, 2005. She has worked in many areas including Spanish/English translation, medical records, front desk registration, patient check out, surgery scheduling, insurance, billing, benefits, as well as many other various office duties.

Sherry Jackson, CPC

Certified Professional Coder

Sherry began employment with us in January, 2011. She has over 16 years experience in OB/Gyn. She received her CPC certification in 2004.  She resides in Cleveland, Georgia.

Alejandra Gonzalez, Translator/Check Out
Alejendra is a 2008 Graduate from Habersham Central High School. Her current position is translator/check out. She is very interested in the medical field and is trained as a medical assistant as well.

Bo Zimmerman, File Clerk/Medical Records
Bo is employed part time at Habersham OB/GYN. She has been here for 6 years as file clerk/ medical records. She resides in Cornelia.
